Still problems

Hi all,
I just chatted with Mcafee online and they told me uninstall mcaffee with the removal tool and do a re-installation. The problem should be solved...I did the steps they told me, but the problem still exists...the only possibility for my laptop is to uninstall McAfee...does anyone have any tipps?

We have developed the patch and is seems to be working. We'll update you with the patch.

and how do I get the patch? with the Update function in mcafee? or can I download it somewhere?

Our illustrious Forum Administrator has come up with a patch.

Save it to your desktop. Right-click it and click Unblock/Apply/OK if applicable.

Follow these directions to install the patched driver for Checkpoint VPN issue.


Extract the contents of to “C:\Program Files\McAfee\VirusScan”

Run copydriver.bat (If you are using vista –right click copydriver.bat and select “Run-As Administrator”

Reboot, Check if it works.

That's good, let's hope it does for everyone. I should add, if any Corporate/Enterprise product users are reading this, the patch is designed for the home products only.
