Hi..

how about;
Right Click McAfee Security Center Icon
Select Properties
Click on Compatibility Tab
Uncheck the box for Run this program in compatibility mode for:
Or w/c ever is applicable
Click Apply, Ok
Restart Pc

Dennis, you started me on the correct path. My task bar shortcut led me to my user directory. MY desktop shortcut led me to the public user directory. I clicked the properties section of the icon looking for the compatibility area. I noticed that the directory was the public user. Sure enough, when I selected this shortcut, the full window opened. I ccould read all the information. I copied the shortcut to my user directory, and voila the correct window opened. So, thanks to you and all others who tried to solve this problem.
