So I just noticed, whenever I try to open McAfee, through anything, running a scan, etc., an error message comes up that says as the title, "Restart Required" in the message, it says "Updates for your McAfee products were installed. Restart your PC to complete the update." I have not yet restarted my computer, as I do not know if this is a legitimate message from McAfee, that I really do need to restart, or if it is some sort of virus. I'm very paranoid about these sort of things. So do I need to restart, and do what was said here possibly -> https://community.mcafee.com/message/131874 ? Or is this something else?
Please help, and thank you for taking the time to read my problem.

Well sometimes Mcafee will ask for a restart after an update if it is a big or major. It could also be the new version of Mcafee 2011? But I have seen this before on my Mcafee antivirus if that helps you.

Sweet, restarted, and it's working now. Thanks
If it's just a DAT update you won't have to restart, but some of the recent updates have been latest versions of McAfee programs, and they won't take effect until you restart. Same thing happens with Microsoft updates.
