Renewed subscription but told it is out... Virus?

My Mcafee went out back in April of this year. I renewed it 2 days after it went out. Today, I saw that while Mcafee is active, it tells me that my subscription is out. I have done scans multiple times and have updated too. Mcafee shows no viruses or anything wrong with my computer. So why is it telling me my subscription is out? I can look back out my credit card usage and see I have renewed it. Do I have a virus that I can't see and that Mcafee cannot find?

Help, I'm desperate 😞

I have Mcafee Total Protection, latest update. I switched from Internet Sercuity to Total Protection. Is that the cause of it to be active, but the subscription be out?

Probably the older one has left remants in the registry.  Uninstall via Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall a Program (Add or Remove Programs in XP), then run the MCPR cleanup tool listed under Useful Links at the top of this page, reboot and reinstall from your online account.

That should fix the problem.
