Problem with software VPN-1 SecureClient ( possible conflict? )

Hi everyone.

I report this problem with McAfee SecurityCenter 9.0 - 2009

After last update Build 9.0.286, the software VPN-1 SecureClient http://www.checkpoint.com/products/vpn-1_clients/ not working:

- When you try to launch VPN-1 SecureClient the pc is restarted.

The problem is the Service McAfee SystemGuards.

If disable the service McAfee SystemGuards the software VPN-1 SecureClient works regularly.

Can you help me?

kind regards
JM

Our illustrious Forum Administrator has come up with a patch.

Save it to your desktop. Right-click it and click Unblock/Apply/OK if applicable.

Follow these directions to install the patched driver for Checkpoint VPN issue.

Instructions:

Extract the contents of VPN-Issue.zip to “C:\Program Files\McAfee\VirusScan”

Run copydriver.bat (If you are using vista –right click copydriver.bat and select “Run-As Administrator”

Reboot, Check if it works.

Sorry I missed this thread. The fix is really not for publication yet, so we are only posting it as and when required.

problem still exists

I think it's about time a real solution should be made.
I use McAffee 8.5 Enterprise and the problem is still there

the patch may work but McAffee Virusscanner doesn't
I get the error "WARNING: Skipping attempt to install core driver mfehidk.sys as content driver"

probably this .zip content is older than the Virusscanner' files.

After installation: VPN = OK hooray But McAffee antivirus starts disabled and i can not start scanner on access manually (other disabled items I can enable) booh!
