It's so weird! It said some file was a virus or threat in my latest scan and deleted it. I didn't know what it was until next startup. The file was all my Windows mouse cursors. It also disabled the ability to make a sound icon in the taskbar saying it needs to be installed via the Add/Remove programs thing. Why did it do this and how can I fix it?
Hi,
Could you please provide us the following details ,
What is the version of McAfee that we have on the computer ? Open security center and let us know if it states : Am I protected YES or Your computer is secure ?
Was the deleted file your standard windows mouse cursor or any freebie (mouse cursors) that we downloaded from the internet ?

Hello,
I have version 5.0.0. When I open it, it states "All McAfee products are enables and functioning properly."
The mouse cursors were Windows mouse cursors, not one from the internet I downloaded. It also doesn't let me put a sound icon in the taskbar anymore.
Thanks.
Version 5.0.0 ?? Could you please let us know if you are using McAfee enterprise version or the consumer version of McAfee products !!
Sound on the taskbar gone? Have you tried right clicking where the other icons are and clicking on properties, and seeing if Sound is ticked?
If it's greyed out, there are solutions.
