McAfee Blocking Website?

I have a new Win7 64bit Dell. I have used the same on-line banking with 5 other computers. I log in the first time on a new computer, answer a security question or two, tell it it is a personal computer, then after that all I have to do is use my UserID and PW. Not on this computer--need to put in the security answer each time.

The Bank techs say it is not related to Win7 but to my McAfee.

What do I have to do to make it recognize the site, or the site to recognize the computer?

Re: McAfee Blocking Website?

Hello,

It's possible that the issue you're experiencing with your online banking login on your new Dell computer is related to the security settings or configurations on your McAfee antivirus software rather than specifically Windows 7. McAfee's firewall or security features might be preventing the website from recognizing your computer as a trusted device.

To resolve this issue, you can try the following steps:

  1. Whitelist the banking website: In your McAfee antivirus settings, look for options related to website blocking or firewall settings. Add the URL of your online banking website to the list of trusted sites or whitelist it to allow unrestricted access.

  2. Disable unnecessary security features: Temporarily disable any security features in McAfee that might be interfering with the login process. This could include features like web protection, firewall, or real-time scanning. Remember to re-enable these features after testing the login.

  3. Clear browser cache and cookies: Sometimes, stored data in your browser can cause login issues. Clear your browser's cache and cookies, then try logging in again to see if the issue persists.

  4. Contact McAfee support: If the problem continues, reach out to McAfee's customer support for further assistance. They can provide specific guidance on adjusting settings or resolving compatibility issues with your online banking website.

By using all these strategies on my website I have resolved the problem
