Help please

Hi friends. i have a couple of problems recently on my pc.

1. Every 5 mins i get a red pop up from McAfee that states my computer is at risk. It says real-time scanning is off and invites me to switch it back on manually. I do so but then five minutes later i get the same message again... and again... and again!!! It's driving me up the wall!

2. Since i received an update from McAfee with the new bigger SecurityCenter control panel, i have had big problems when i log on the internet. It now takes my home page at least 5 minutes to appear. The screen goes blank while it waits for the page to load. Previously it appeared in the blink of an eye.

Any help you can give me would be really appreciated. Thanks.  : )

Is your system totally up to date including all browsers and their add-ons?  Also check your system clock for accuracy.

Probably your best approach to this would be to uninstall everything via Control Panel > Programs.

Then run the MCPR cleanup tool and reboot.

Go to your online account page and reinstall from there.

If the problem continues after that, then contact Technical Support.  It's free by phone or online chat and linked under Useful Links at the top of this page.
