Re: Event ID: Mfehidk & McShield. MVT not working. - Potential Solution

I was anxious to try your fix, as I am also running Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

I used both methods to install the file, and received this message:

"Using user specified install ref mfehidk.sys"

After rebooting, I still get the following warning:

Re: Event ID: Mfehidk & McShield. MVT not working.

Hi SPyron,

I have the same problem and I have tried to drag and drop a text file on the folder C:\Program Files\Common Files\McAfee\mcsvchost\ but there was an error...

The error message is

"You'll need to provide administrator permission to move to this folder."

My operating system is Windows 7 Professional.

Please let me know if I can fix this problem...

Thanks

Melih
