Can't install from site

When I try to download the program I get a blank screen. I'm not using the IE8 beta, and the link for the Mcafee repair tool doesn't work. Does anyone know what I should do?

RE: Can't install from site

hi,

can you post the specs of your PC?(OS, Service Pack, RAM size, IE version)
specify also what page or what button do you click where you experience the blank page.
what security program did you use before trying to install McAfee?make sure you remove it first, especially the remnants. see this http://service.mcafee.com/FAQDocument.aspx?lc=1033&id=TS100376

hope this helps....

RE: Can't install from site

I've got Windows XP service pack 2, 2 gigs of ram, and IE 7. And inside the FAQ "What should I do if I get a blank page when installing or updating", when I click on the link to the IERegFix.bat, it says "Internet Explorer cannot display this webpage." I don't have any other security installed but I don't know what remnants are or how to remove them...

RE: Can't install from site

hmm.. if you want, try this:
try resetting Internet Explorer Settings to its Default Settings..

for Internet Explorer Version 7:
open Internet Explorer.
click Tools > Internet Options > Advanced Tab
click the Reset Button to reset IE settings.

for Internet Explorer Version 6:
open Internet Explorer.
click Tools > Internet Options > Programs Tab
click the Reset Web Settings button to reset IE settings.

after that, close IE. open a new one.
then try running IERegFix.bat again. happy

When I try to reset the settings it says that I have to close all other open windows and programs but I don't have anything else open.

RE: try this..

Ok, so my IE settings have been reset. Now instead of a blank page it says "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage." Would I be better off cancelling this and getting the retail version?
