BT Virus Protect High CPU Usage caused by McAfee Management Service Host

I am running BT Virus Protect v16.0 R22. Lately the MMSH has been hogging the CPU and really slowing my machine down. I noticed on other threads that this has supposed to been fixed in R15, yet I'm seeing it in R22. Can you please advise. I am running Windows 10 latest release.

Not seeing this  maybe it is a BT version issue. Mine is at 0% and never caused an issue. The mods need to look into this.

Oh I assume you have never had another scanner present and if so removed it with its own removal tool?

@TheWaltonMystic

To understand better, please let us know when the CPU usage goes higher

  • When browsers are opened
  • When scan was initiated
  • During Windows / McAfee update
