Re: Automatic checking for updates at bootup stalls-W7

,

I can confirm that I was also updated to v14.0.4119.0 (McAfee Security Center) earlier. As for knowing for sure if this included the (Expected) patch. I would like to think so. We can definitely ask during our Conference Call this upcoming Monday.

Other than that, I can inquire about it and should I get a 'Concrete' answer will immediately respond back. During the interim, like you stated "Let's Hope so"  It may be that one of my Colleague's can add more to the discussion as well.

All the Best

We were as I said told the fix would go out to beta group users first for testing to date my beta has not updated it is still on 4113 .

Of course this was what was told to us it does not mean it is gospel.

If I get 4119 I will see if the fix is in it.

I also received the 4119 update this morning, but only for my Windows 8.1 laptop.   My Win 7 laptop has not updated and is still on 4113

Hopefully this will came soon.     I hope this will fix the problem.

I asked 1 of the techs if 4119 has the fix in it I would be surprised. Also if you have the 4119 build are you still seeing the update thingy?

So far it is looking OK and stable on 4119 but I had triggered a manual update on both machines so I will need to wait until the next scheduled update to see what happens.

I will report back later in the day (UK time)

,

I was just updated Automatically to the most current Engine Version v2351.0, with no issues presented.

However like you I will monitor the (Spinning Arrow) in the system tray as well.

                   Running Windows 7 Sp1......

Re: My earlier posts.

It is now more than 6 hours since my laptops were updated and so far the problem on both laptops seems to have gone away completely after this morning's updates.

Windows 7 is still running Security Centre Build 4113

and my Win 8.1 is now running Security centre build 4119.

Crossing my fingers that this has resolved it !

Hello,

Saturday morning news (here in France):

We have 2 computers with W7 SP1 and now with Security Center 4119.

On my wife's machine (Acer) this morning the problem remains ( the little blue point on McAfee icon in the taskbar turning until I check the updates manually).

On mine (Lenovo) no more problem: McAfee automatically looks for the updates a few minutes after I switch on the machine, the blue point appears a few seconds then stops.

I don't know what to think of this...

Regards
