Ex_Brit thanks for the reply

Am using IE7 on XP with SP3.

Did as you suggested went in and reset IE7 to defaults, and restarted IE7.

Re-enabled add-ons under Tools, restarted IE7.

No luck, still have same issue.

Cannot manually run virus scans, and some advanced screens still come up blank.

RE: Ex_Brit thanks for the reply

I have this problem as well. I purchased Mcafee internet security 2009 a couple of weeks before and decided to install it today. I got the blank security screen. I ran that virtual program and there was nothing wrong. So I don't know what to do. Conflicker worm is scarying me.

Then I suggest contacting Technical Support Chat - top left of page or linked in my signature.

It is free.

RE: Ex_Brit thanks for the reply

If the security center is a blank page, then how am I supposed to do a scan and get updates and stuff. When I try to access the tech support chat thing, the chat pop up box comes up then it freezes and says not responding.

Thanks Ex_Brit

Been that route once already.

Went thru the uninstall McAfee, run the McAfee Uninstaller program and then reinstall McAfee again.

Didn't help, same issue.

They were not much help, and really didn't seem to care all that much, kinda reminded me of Symantec.

Guess I'll have to try them again.

But once again, thanks for your efforts.

RE: Thanks Ex_Brit

Try it in Safe Mode With Networking reached by tapping F8 while booting up.

They can escalate this to a higher level.

RE: Browser

firefox. I am starting to think that I have some type of malicious software on my computer because my computer is running very slowly. It is kind of coincidental that after I installed Mcafee my computer started running slow.

RE: Browser

Did you try resetting IE as per post #10? It's important even though you use Firefox as McAfee's interface uses HTML and relies on a working, up-to-date IE to function properly.
So it's very important that your system is totally up to date.

Try the free versions of both of these tools and let them clean everything they find:
