OK might be same issue as here
The issue is being looked into 1 thing that works and this only for some is disable netguard setting in the firewall setting. This only a thought as it worked in 2 out of 20 cases.
Another thought is any1 got a Hp with HP cloud software installed. If so uninstall it it clashes with Mcafee.
Uninstalling Alcohol 120% did indeed solve the errors.
At first I thought that Alcohol 120% wasn't installed on my pc. I had already removed it using the Windows add/remove programs long time ago.
The sollution was uninstalling it using the uninstaller in de /program files/alcohol directory.
I cleaned the registry afterwords and the problems are gone now.
I uninstalled latest version of alcohol and no more errors here too. mchost and sync errors are all gone.
When I reinstalled alcohol 120 I get the mchost error again. Confirmed that alcohol is colliding with the latest mcafee update since december 2011. Have been using this alcohol version for more than 8 months without problem until dec 2011 mcafee update.
Might be how you uninstalled it try reinstalling and note post 24 for what to do.
Coldfusion will pass this on seems now to have fixed nearly 10 users so far.Message was edited by: Peacekeeper on 30/01/12 6:43:32 AM
