Hello All,
I'm trying to uninstall security center that was a free trial on my dell desktop OS XP. I have been going to the control panel then add/remove prog's and selecting security center the screen will load up and it will ask me to select what i want to remove but nothing appears.
Please look @ print screens. How do i remove this ?
Solved! Go to Solution.
That screen is run by Internet Explorer so make sure you aren't running a beta bversion of IE and if so uninstall it. If you are running IE6 or 7 try upgrading to IE8 from the Microsoft website.
However, if you don't want to bother with all that and simply uninstall the software you can use the MCPR removal tool listed under Useful Links at the top of the page.
The only problem with that it wont credit back your account with an unused item of software but Customer Service can straighten that out later if needed.

i have ie8 already. I have checked for updates for it and there is none.
I have just started the removal tool.
Will let you know how it goes.
If you get any further blank interfaces I would get in touch with Technical Support, it's free.
Its just rebooting looks like it is working. I've got AVG set up already !
That's great, can I mark this solved?
Still restarting. Will keep you updated
Safely Removed
