Trusting files

I'm sure this is nothing new and I did search the Net but McAfee keeps deleting files saying they are Trojan. The are not. On the Internet it seems as if there's no way to trust these. I can't believe that. I'm expecting the experts are here on this forum, so... please let me know how I can fix this.

Thanks!

Re: Trusting files

The new 2011 product which is in public beta testing right now allows exceptions to be made from a scheduled or a manual scan but that wont be released for a little while yet, until then you can try the steps I outlined here:  https://community.mcafee.com/thread/2016

Re: Trusting files

Thanks, the workaround is not something I'd like to do... As I'm having a 3 year license, I assume I can expect that my version will be automatically updated (right?). When is this new version expected? Any more news on new features somewhere already?

Re: Trusting files

The release wont be for a while yet.  There is a link on this page that will tell you some more: https://community.mcafee.com/docs/DOC-1236

Until then if you don't want mistaken detections, the steps in that link I posted will help you.

Your software will automatically upgrade to the new one when available to you as long as your subscription is current.
