I have just renewed my subs and suddenly the Tracker Removal function has ceased to work.
When it reaches 'Other System Files' it just keeps spinning, if you cancel then every other function becomes greyed out unless you reboot.
I have now uninstalled and reinstalled around 4 times and still have the same issue!
Hi @Boltneck
We regret for the inconvenience!
The issue will be fixed in the next update that will be released on February 14.
Requesting your cooperation in this regard.
Regards,
Sudharsanam G
Well, its the 16th February and the issue still hasn't been fixed!
I have auto-updates on still, didn't fix on the 14/02 update as promised!
I have just spent the last 1 hour & half uninstalling and reinstalling (& on that subject, why does uninstalling re-set all my personalization setting such as lock-screen and wallpaper - very irritating!)
First run after reinstall and hung on the uninstalled IE, altered settings to remove and then went back to hanging on System Files!!!!
So, where next?
I have exactly the same problem as described here. I uninstalled and reinstalled the software with the update from 02142023 and everything is the same. The issues still exist.
Well, another week and still no solution or response!!!!
But hey, I'm a 'Contributor II' now - what an effing joke!!!!!
Same Problem. Contacted Customer Support via chat and verified that
Windows 10 Update 22H2 and McAfee LiveSafe Version 16.0 Release 16.0.R50 are current.
There is no further update other than it is a known issue and "We are working on the problem".
BTW: Not all McAfee LiveSafe programs using the same Version are identical.
I have two Windows 10 systems. Using Windows command 'appwiz.cpl' I found both use McAfee LiveSafe Version 16.0.R50.
However my failing LiveSafe system has a file size of 705-MB and my running LiveSafe system has a file size of 651-MB
SHOCKER!! STILL NOT WORKING, STILL NOT RESOLVED!
