Too many updates

Normally, I agree with the frequency. The problem come in when I have to shut the laptop down to move onward.  They post a message saying "Don't shut down".  Can't wait, can't shut down.  What to do?

Re: Too many updates

First of all, never expose your personal data in public forums.  I altered your user name from your email address to plain gdavis603, you'll have to log out and back in using that user name.

Secondly that other thread was so old that the software is now totally different so I've given you your own new thread.

SecurityCenter will update once a day now  for virus definitions and much less frequently for actual software updates and there's nothing you can do about it I'm afraid.  That's why an Internet Connection is listed on the product pages as a System Requirement.

You could set it to notify you when updates are available but certain updates will happen anyway.  That can be done by opening it and opening Updates > Settings.

Technical Support might be able to assist you further and they are available free of charge by phone or online chat and linked below.
