Time to run a full scan

Due to a problem, I am running a McAfee Internet Security full scan on my Windows 11 Dell XPS 8930.  My PC has a 500GB SSD, an internal 1TB HDD, and two external 8TB Seagate HDDs.  The full scan has been running for over 4 hours and is only 5% done.  The number of files scanned creeps slowly upward.  At this rate, it will take over three days to finish.  Is it scanning all my internal and external HDDs?  Should it take this long?

Re: Time to run a full scan

Hi @mccunney

Greetings from McAfee.

We are sorry for the inconvenience caused. If you running the full can for the first time then sure it will take time. as long as files are scanning and moving forward the scanning functionality is good to go. Since the device has more storage it may take some time.
