Selection of the individual product components to be installed

Hello,

since I can no longer use the McAfee firewall after installing the telematics infrastructure in the doctor's office, since it reliably prevents the "connector" from working, I would like to at least use the Windows firewall. However, apart from the firewall, I would like to leave McAfee Antivirus installed.
It used to be that you could choose what to install during the installation. Now I don't have this option anymore.
So how can I deselect the McAfee firewall during installation? This is the only way to activate the Windows firewall.
Does anyone have an idea?
I would also be happy to receive a tip on how to make the "connector" work together with the McAfee firewall. Simply unlocking the port did not work. The technician did not find a solution.
Thank you in advance for your suggestions.

Call support again and ask for an escalation to a higher level support tech.

You can disable the firewall and in General settings and alerts stop the program warning you that it is off. Though support should be able to assist you  hope

Thanks for the answer.
The problem is that no firewall is active anymore. Because the Windows Defender firewall can only be activated if the McAfee firewall is not installed. I can't choose what I want to activate, I have to uninstall McAfee first.

Ok see your point. Unless support ( probably a higher level than the initial contact) might be able to get the firewall working with the connector.

Give them a call as  there are other options to change in the firewall settings that could help. Maybe disabling netguard option is worth a go.

Good luck

Re: Selection of the individual product components to be installed

Hello,
hereby I can inform you that the problem is solved (there is a new one for that).
On Friday I wanted to solve the problem by phone with the support directly at the PC.
In order to prepare for this, I first wanted to re-enact the problem of the blocking firewall. After I had switched on the firewall, some questions came up, that this and that program needs access to the Internet and whether I wanted to allow this. There was also the question of the software which uses the TI. Afterwards the reading of the health cards worked also with activated Firewall.
Either this is again one of the problems that resolve itself or there has been an update of the software from McAfee. Super, a problem solved.
But now I have a new problem. Any program that needs internet access will pop up a message. And this although I have disabled the firewall messages. However, "decide automatically" is enabled.
I assure you that my wife is completely overwhelmed and will say no in any case and then there is a real problem again.
Why the hell do these queries suddenly come up? I also particularly appreciated McAfee because it works quietly and unnoticed in the background and usually makes the correct decisions.
How can I deactivate these queries (which I never activated) so that the firewall only blocks the really dangerous activities on its own?

Best regards

Markus
