Security renewal required - Accer ntbk-(McAfee scan says no problem found)

Security renewal required on every power-up. Accer net-book w McAfee pre-installed. McAfee 'Virtual technician' reports no problem found.???

Hi ,

The new subscription might not have been installed completely in the netbook,
run the Mcafee removal tool from the following link
http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exe   and restart the computer.

Reinstal your new subscription from your  account in http://us.mcafee.com , by which you should be all set.

Hi,

If you are certain your subscription is not expired, ensure that the system date and time are correct. If they are incorrect, change them to the correct settings. please post me with the session id so that i could review the installed programs and keep you posted.

Hi

The subscription that came w ntbk has expired. i obtained new subscr. fr McAfee for lptp and ntbk at subsequent date. Lptp has protection....ntbk does not.Check with McAfee shows both covered, but there is nothing in ntbk except MaAfee 'site adviser'.....

Hi

Just to let you know.....your last suggestion solved the problem...so far....at least the protection is now in-place......i believe i saw one pop-up that indicated a renewal would be required......but the security is now in place...so i'm not concerned anymore......thanks very much for your help !
