Security Center Deactivated on its own

Panicking right now

I woke up in the middle of the night and noticed my computer said it had to be restarted to install a Mcafee security center update, so I did so. When everything booted back up, Mcafee security center has deactivated, and I can't seem to re-activate it. I know my subscription is not expired since I just renewed my subscription a few months ago, and I can't afford to just up and spend money on buying a new package like it tells me to do. What do I do?

Okay, update on the situation

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Mcafee on my computer, it seems to have fixed the problem. However I'm still a bit paranoid as to HOW this happened. Could it be the update just messed up a bit while installing itself?

Re: Security Center Deactivated on its own

The McAfee software gets deactivated If you have installed your McAfee software on the maximum number of computers for the number of licenses you purchased, and you need to install your software on a new computer, you will need to purchase additional licenses or deactivate the license on an existing computer. When you install the software on a new computer, the deactivated license will become active on the new computer. The most common reason you would need to deactivate a license would be in the event of a computer hardware failure requiring a hard drive replacement or new computer.

If the above is not correct in your situation, please contact our technical support chat so our technicians could provide you more details on the software deactivation

Re: Security Center Deactivated on its own

I have the same Problem. I purchased McAfee Internet Security 2011 at 8th of November and I used it on one only Computer.

Now says the Programm that's deactivated caused I used the License on more than one Computer.. so I have only one!!!!

Why I should purchased another License when my actually License runs up at November 2011 ????

So and when the Technical Support are during the Night closed my computer has no protection - till I have a chance to contact the support tomorrow????
