Secuity Center Reporting Not Protected

I have been fighting a problem with McAfee and have not been able to resolve it. McAfee keeps showing that I am not protected and when I click the "Fix" button it reports that "One or more problems require your response". The security center also shows that "Action Required" for Computers & Files, Internet & Network, E-mail & IM.
It also shows on the right side of the window that "Your subscription to McAfee xxxx must be verified" where xxx is Virusscan, Personal Firewall, Parental Controls and Anti-Spam. When I click on the links, I receive a popup stating that it was verified successfully but the messages on the right side of the security center window do not go away.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled. I have run the virtual technician. I have run the "MCPR.exe" program and reinstalled and nothing seems to change these symptoms.
I have also taken part in the online chat with McAfee support and they keep telling me to uninstall/reinstall.
Any ideas on what the problem might be?

One other observation; I logged on to my account at McAfee and it is reporting that I have 2 subscriptions, one which has expired. The one that is expired is the free trail version. The other reflects that my expiration is in August of 2009. Is it possible that something is confused between my McAfee Total Protection install and the website where it sees that my trial subscription has expired? Note that after my free trial expired, I purchased the product, received the CD in the mail and installed from the CD.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

FYI, I am running Vista Ultimate 64 bit.
