Scan time scheduling

There is no option to set the scan time. This POS scans whenever I wake up my computer to use it, meaning I have to wait until it's done before the computer works at full speed. I need to know if this can be done, or go to a different product. Technical Support sent me a canned email with useless instructions. I'm on this board to see if there's anybody smart around. When I right click the 'M' in the tray, then go to 'scan,' I get 'quick scan,' 'full scan,' and 'let me choose.' There is no way to schedule the scan time.
I've put up with thhis annoyance long enough, and if there's no way to schedule the POS, then I need to know so I can cancel my account and get a better product.

RE: Scan time scheduling

Try this

Open security center -> click on computers and files -> configure (right hand side) ->virus protection enabled ->click on advanced -> new screen will come up,
->on the top left hand side you will find Scheduled Scan.

from there you can schedule your scan

Hope this helps..:D

Sampad

RE: Scan time scheduling

Thanks. It seems to have taken the settings. (I won't waste time on a tirade about how the customer support 'roids should've been able to tell me that.) You rock! 😮

Changing Scheduled Options

Thanks Sam24.....I've looked all over for that option to no avail. Your information is right on the money.

Not the complete answer I am afraid

Yes, of couse you can schedule a scan but what use scanning if you can not schedule an update that finishes before then or set the computer to shut down if no threats are detected. This last option can only be set with a manual scan.

Looking elsewhere me.
