Not Protected, Sig File Old, Fix, But Not working

Hi Again,

After the issues I have on my office pc with updates turning mcafee off like thousands of others seem to have, on my XP laptop, I am now told my update for computer and email files is 8 - 30 days out of date so need to fix.

I click fix, it downloads and installs, but then still reports the same issues.

The little exclamation mark wont go, even though it says its fixing it.

Version 9
Build 9.0.295

My virus Scan dats are 5525.000

The only laptop my Mcafee is currently working ok on is my vista laptop, just having issues with the others and its really getting me annoyed now.

Same problem, no solution

It happens the same in my pc, I try Virtual technician
and after a long waiting time it says the 3 problems are
solved an give me a session id. 15858653, but the problem
continues. My S. Center version is 9.0.295 and Virus Scan
13.0.218.
Please help ¡

Check your system clocks for time and timezone.

RE: Same problem, no solution

Nope, Date, time and timezone are ok.

I have this product on two laptops. The Win XP laptop does not have the problem.

The Win Vista laptop says that the files are out of date despite all attempts to update them.

After I update the little pop-up box comes up and says "Your files are up to date" However the little yellow exclamation point remains; clicking on it tells me my files are between 8 and 29 days out of date.

Hi Brit,

No, not behind a proxy, have tried at my house and my mums, different ISPs, different routers etc.

Is it just me, or are problems with Mcafee going up a lot?

I have been with you guys for 6 years or so, never had an issue, and these past two weeks its just been a nightmare product.

Some people are reporting issues but not that many.

Windows based PC's are always difficult because there are so many configurations. As I posted earlier, one of my computers has this problem, the other doesn't.

However, to just dismiss the problem as "some are having issues, but not that many" is not acceptable.

I guess I will buy Zone Alarm for both machines again and give up this McAffe madness.

Did this machine have another security app on it earlier if yes how was it removed.

try these

This step fixes a problem that can occur while using W32Time service that causes your clock to become desynched a great deal (+10 minutes every hour, for example).
click start
select Run
Type CMD and hit enter
in the command prompt enter the below mentioned commands one after another and hit enter each time.

net stop w32time
w32tm.exe /unregister
w32tm.exe /register
net start w32time
