My computers all unfortunately run on Windows Vista. They came with Norton Internet Security preinstalled. I went through the complete uninstall and when trying to install McAfee, I still get the message that I need to first uninstall Norton. I have looked through all troubleshooting info, but it all requires me to open Norton and then go from there. There is nothing left for me to open. Uninstall has removed all visible Norton components, but must have left something hidden somewhere.
I really need to install my McAfee, but I don't know what to do from here.
Please help. Thank you very much.

Try running the Norton Removal Tool.

Edit: Ex Brit beat me to it.
Download and run the Norton Removal Tool. http://service1.symantec.com/Support/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2005033108162039

That does not work as I do not have a Norton Product to open anymore. When I uninstalled Norton, it uninstalled all visible Norton components. But when I try to install McAfee, I get the message to uninstall Norton. I am stuck in no-mans land with this.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks a million.

Disregard previous post. I just tried it again and it didn't ask me for a product key and seems to be removing the Norton program. I hope it's gonna be successful and I'll be on my way to installing McAfee.
Thanks for your help.

Good luck.
This time it worked.
McAfee has installed successfully.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
That's great, all the best.
