New Version Security Center 10.0.578 and Windows 7 64 bits?

Hello,

I have one computer with Vista and this morning a new update turn me to the new version 10.0.578 of Security Center with no problem (we can discuss about the new interface...)

My wife's computer is in Windows 7 /64 bits and, even manually, no update to the new version (DAT Virus scan updates OK).

Is this normal, will the update come in a few days?

Disparition of "easy network"?

Regards,

Jérôme

The updates are just being released slowly now so it is normal to see one machine update and not the other, perhaps they update from different servers.  It will eventually happen, so do not worry about it.

OK, and thank you for your answer!

The only think I was affraid of was to have to uninstall etc...*

Now I'll wait and see, in the following days, the new version coming.

But what a disturbing change about the interface we were accustomed to...

Yes the new interface is very different. Once you get used to it I find it easier to navigate than the old one.

Re: New Version Security Center 10.0.578 and Windows 7 64 bits?

Peter,

no update until now on the other computer: it is ok for dat update (5953 today) but nothing about the evolution to new version.

Is this normal? Could it be possible to have several days, weeks, between the updates on two different machines in the same house? When must I think to un -install/re -install?

(On mine all seems to work OK: updates are automatically downloaded. No problem.)

Regards,

Yes it is normal.  I believe they slowed the release of the update to the new version.   There were a few teething problems that didn't surface in the testing stages.

Thank you again Peter!

I was not anxious but I was wondering if I had to wait or not.

Re: New Version Security Center 10.0.578 and Windows 7 64 bits?

Peter,

one more question: I have noticed that in the file DAT (in Virus Scan) I have 5953 AND 5954 (update today).  The update to the new version was with DAT 5951, if I remember, and 5951 and 5952 have disapeared..

Before I had only the DAT of the day. But the scan report is with 5954 (the last one).

Must I delete the old one (5953)?

Regards,
