I have been getting NON-STOP spam by McAfee alerts on my LiveSafe software. It is super annoying. I do not understand why when I have paid for this product, they can still spam me all this messages.
All the messages online doesn't help. They point to an old user interface where I had the OPTION to deselect mcafee alerts in the settings menu. These are not anti-virus alerts, they are alerts asking me to use their other products like, "install web advisor". Sometimes i get the updates required which is still fine (even though i set it to auto-update). But for the past few weeks, the app has been prompting me to INSTALL WEB ADVISOR on my CHROME??? I couldn't stand it anymore because these pop-ups do not have a 'x' sign and you HAVE to CLICK into the button which redirects me to the Google Chrome Web Extension page??? (It is the legit web advisor extension page, so it is not a scam or spam). Even after I installed the Chrome extension, and turn it on, THE POP UP STILL COMES BACk. OMG HELP!!!
PLEASE MCAFEE, REINSTATE THE OPTIONS TO DISABLE ALERTS, ESPECIALLY PRODUCT PROMOTION CROSS SELLING ADS. HELP!!
Hi @Jzee ,
We apologies for the inconvenience caused.
McAfee is aware of this issue and working on it. You are getting this error due to McAfee WebAdvisor extension is not present on the browser. If you install McAfee WebAdvisor extension you will not see this error.

Even after adding the extension on my Chrome and enabling it, it still prompts me to install it.
Where are the settings for Livesafe product to turn off alert? Please reinstate this function. It is a basic function that McAfee has deprived users of and forces us to constantly face the relentless pop-ups of cross selling.
Are you saying the solution is to cancel my McAfee account to disable these constant and annoying alerts?
I am not sure your solution to simply comply and download the extension so that you can have your software running on my machine makes much sense.
Seems to me that the product is the problem and canceling the product solves my problem.
Exactly. Agreed.
Product with zero sense of user interface design.
My iMac won't allow me to open the McAfee WebAdviser to download, so how do I go around that to stop getting these popups????
I am assuming you are serious about this, but I just can't take you seriously. We come here because people are sick and tired of your pop-ups, and instead of providing a solution to disable them, you propose that we install from crap from McAfee. Again, I wish I could take you seriously, instead, I am leaving my subscription run out and go to Norton, TotalAV, or AVG for my next 3 year AV protection.
I hope you continue to enjoy losing customers due to your spam policy.
