My McAfee contract has been renewed and is in force, I am still getting unwanted popups. This occurs when I go on the internet. When I took out this contract with McAfee I was assured that this would block out any scams or unwanted popups.
Can anybody give me some advise how to get rid of this?
Exactly what do these popups say? Is your software obtained directly from McAfee or via a 3rd party?
I have the same problem. The pop-ups I am getting are almost always the same -- one long one along the left hand side of the screen, then one each at the top and bottom of my screen. I'm also having distracting problems with random words being highlighted and hyperlinked in text on the page.
What can I do,? It's driving me nuts!
Checked for malware using extra tools listed in the last link in my signature below. Try Stinger and Malwarebytes Free for starters.

Popups come in several forms
1 A mcafee branded popup warning you that your subscription is expiring
2. Mcafee branded ad for purchasing some software usual on Dell PCs
3. Ad from wininferno a mcafee partner who sells Mcafee and otehr products and if you bought from them them hit you with ads for other software.
4. malware caused popups and strage happenings This seems to be what is happening above. in ms.jess's case
Maidencity what is your popup saying got a pic?Same with Ms.jess a pic is worth heaps here.
Mcafee popups hard to stop unless you have a mcafee subscription purchesed from Mcafee then they are only type 1.
Here is a screen cap of what I am getting. This one doesn't show hyperlink text so I can get one that does if you need it.
Edited -- hang on, didn't get the picture in.
Edited again -- how do I insert a screen cap here? Sorry to be so inept.
