RE: For XP S3

can you post the exact error message that you receive when downloading?

then try this:

click on the start button(windows logo on Vista)
on the field "start search" type "cmd" without the qoutes, an icon will apear on the top part.
right click on that icon then select "Run as Administrator"
type "regsvr32 jscript.dll" without the quotes on the black window that will apear then press Enter(A message will appear confirming that the process was succesful)
type "regsvr32 vbscript.dll" without the quotes then press Enter(A message will appear confirming that the process was succesful).

restart your PC then try downloading McAfee again this time instead of clicking on "Run" click on "Save" and save the dmsetup on your desktop. Right click on the dmsetup located on the desktop then select "Run as Administrator".

RE: For XP S3

Thank you, thank you, thank you Plastic!! I had to have my hard drive replaced and could not get my McAfee download thru Internet Explorer. It kept giving me blank pages or I was not able to hit 'enter' to submit pages. I downloaded Mozilla Firefox from my other computer onto my thumb drive, then loaded it on my regular laptop. I kept getting the same error messages about my java, redownloaded it and deleted old versions, nothing was working. I did what you said and I now have my McAfee back and my laptop back! I'm guessing I'll have to delete my IE and redownload that, but for now, I'm just happy to have my McAfee back! Thanks for your help!:):):)
