Help McAfee Total Protection?

Hi,

First, I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but I have problem with my Mcafee total protection (Security center V 10.5). Each time I do system restart the Mcafee shortcut icon on desktop is changing it position itself. I want to keep the shortcut in same place, but each restart it moves.

Any help would be appreciated? BTW, it's all fully updated

Hi,

A wrong Screen Resolution may also cause it to happen.

Please update us with the following details:-

1. Operating System: (Windows XP/ Vista / Windows 7) with bit (32-bit, 64-bit)

2. Right click with your mouse on the desktop screen and see which option is selected (Auto Arrange/ Align to grid) in the below shown fig:

If not what Jai suggests note the following

Jai this is a known bug with 10.5 and the new TP5 version. It was fixed 4 mths ago  but they made an error and it was reborn. More noticeable in XP I do not see it in win7

Will be fixed  sometime hopefully soon though not a big issue more annoying

Actually it seems to be fixed now. I just unchecked the 'Auto Arrange' from right click menu and it worked (Windows 7 ultimate 64-bit)

Yeah win 7 the issue seems to stabilise it is more in XP that an issue sticks. My auto arrange off as well though align to grid is on.
