Hello,
Could you please check the following and update me on the status.

Navigate to C:\program files & common files -> check if you have any remnants of your security software, delete if found.

Right click on your "Hosts" file and open it with "NotePad".Check the bottom of the page just below from where it says 127.0.0.1 local host.If you have list of websites remove them all and ensure you have the details only up to 127.0.0.1 information about websites below this can be removed.

Once done save the files and try to update McAfee.

I checked & there are no remnants of old McAfee security software in common files.

There also are no entries for any site in the hosts file. The host file contains this:

127.0.0.1 localhost

::1 localhost

and nothing else.

and nothing else.  Still no updates of Security Center, Virus Scan, Parental Controls or Firewall since 4/15-16/2010. However, Site Advisor last updated on 6/2/2010, Anti-Spam content was updated today.
