Automatic update will not "finish"

A couple of days ago my McAfee Security Centre did an Automatic Update and now everytime I go into Internet Explorer a window pops up saying: "Your McAfee SiteAdvisor Software has been updated." Among other things there is a button to click on to FINISH the update. When I click on that button I just get another window with the same thing, and then the first window goes to the McAfee site... and on and on it goes... and I can not 'close' the FINISH window or even quit out of it... I have to force quit to get out of it... so all day long that window is in the background. I can't Minimize it, or close it...

How do I get rid of this?

RE: Automatic update will not "finish"

Probably the upgrade did not occur correctly.
Please try these steps for now

Go to add remove and select McAfee Security centre
then select siteadvisor alone and remove it.
reboot the machine.
locate and delete any siteadvisor folders.
install siteadvisor from your account or the free one .
You must be good
