,

As myself and others, you should receive the v14.0.5084 through a 'Automatic Update'. I see no reason myself in having to do a Uninstall/Reinstall'. As the new build is being throttled out as we speak.

All the Best,

You should get it automatically but it may take a few days depending on where you are and whether or not you got the software directly from McAfee or from another source, such as ISP or PC Maker.

Comes in automatically provided you not 1 of the few users stall requiring access protection to be disabled to update . ie disable AP update reenable AP>

This issue needs more logs

Can someone explain why McAfee customer service has made it so hard to get a straight answer on this problem and apparent fix.  I have made numerous calls to customer service and not once has a tech told me that this is a known problem and that there is a fix in the works.  Every couple of days I get an email from their tier 2 people saying that they are still looking at "my" problem.  I called recently to ask for an answer and was told that I would get a supervisor call back in 1 -2 hours.  I asked that they call my cell number since I would not be at my land line and of course they left a message on the land line that they would try to call again tomorrow - when tomorrow they did not say!  I called back and asked for a call more immediately and was told they would call in 1 -2 hours. I sat around all day and they never even called.  So far I do not have the magic update and performing a manual update still leaves me with build 4127.

I am still on Build 4121

HOWEVER

If it is any help.

It seems to have cured itself for a while 3 days now without the update freezing on the rotating blue wheel.

I live in hopes??

Just for information, I finally spoke with Tier 2 support and confirmed the fix for the 5084 update and was told the following:  Even though I renewed my subscription directly on the McAfee website, my software was initially included on my HP computer and therefore the update will only come after it is approved and distributed through HP, or for other systems whichever other partner had contracted with McAfee for inclusion of their software.  If your software was purchased originally from the McAfee website, they said you will be among the first to get the update. This would explain why various people quote having different numbers as their latest updated version.

Yes We have been saying this affid 0 ie McAfee subscriptions are first then partners such as Hp and dell etc. What we were told is Mcafee controls the release to partners of patches so it should not be long.

WRONG.

16/10/15.

still on 4121.

Still stalling on blue circle going round and round.

Mine is a DELL OE but it has been reinstalled about 50 times in the last few years with so many issues.

This latest has gone on forever! So now not sure when I will get the update. If at all

Cheers Andy
