I get the delayed upgrades too likely because I got my sub through software on a Dell PC. Curious thing is that I haven't had a a Dell for 8 yrs now. When I look at my account it still says powered by Dell.(affid 105)

I have grown weary of the immortal circle as well. Maybe I need to cancel and re-up online with a new account.

Yes of course if you choose to purchase directly from McAfee it will show Affid:0. My question is, Are you saying that you are still using the Dell account, yet you no longer use/own one?

I no longer use a Dell. My McAfee account is the same one as when I subscribed when I had a Dell. I don't have a "Dell account" per say. All my downloads to new PC's have come directly from the McAfee website, not through computer bloatware.

,

Thank you for your response. The primary reason I asked, is if you continuously (Renew) through Dell, That should not be the case. I recommend you contacting 'Customer Service' and explain your situation. For the very fact you purchase directly from McAfee...Your Affid: 0 should indicate so.

Thanks, I'll give that a shot. My McAfee account says "Protection is available with McAfee SecurityCenter via Dell" I can't find anyway online to change that.

Customer service should be able to if not next renewal do not renew ( disable auto purchasing) and buy a subscription from McAfee direct removing McAfee via Dell completely. that will work
