McAfee firewall problems

Two problems with McAfee Internet Security firewall are existing for several months.

I'm not sure whether it is a result of update from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 or an antivirus update.

1. After hibernation on Windows 10 McAfee firewall blocks access to the internet for all user-level applications.

    Everything works well if I manually turn firewall off and then turn firewall on just after system is restored from hibernation.

2. McAfee firewall sometimes leads to hard freeze of game Dota2.

    Only taskkill helps in this situation, but the game process is still present after kill and dies only after 3-5 minutes or immediately after McAfee firewall is turned off.

    I think Dota 2 game internal loop freezes somewhere on sinchronous syscall, perhaps some socket call.

    This game freeze is produced by firewall because with turned off firewall I face no such problems.

At least first problem with hibernation is very annoying.

Раз проблема появилась после обновления Windows, решить проблему должна переустановка программы McAfee. Советуем сделать полную переустановку. Воспользуйтесь методом, который представлен на этом форуме под заголовком: Установка не завершена (антивирус не загружается). Переустановка антивирусной прогрaммы.

Best to call support and have them escalate the questions if they unable to help.

re a hibernation/fast startup and windows 10 seems to react with Mcafee..

For best results, we suggest you to remove your McAfee security products before you upgrade your operating system or use Microsoft System Restore. You will re-install your McAfee product after the upgrade or restore is done. However it looks like the upgrade is already done so I would suggest you full re-install of McAfee. Follow the solution steps in KB100328 If you need it in Russian go change the language from the top right corner:
