Hello,
It seems that with the new update my Thunderbird is being blocked. I cannot send any email, I cannot download any email.
I do have emails in my webmail, can download them to my phone, and can send emails either from my phone or from the webmail. Other people in the company using Outlook are not getting any trouble. Hence, the problem must be at my side.
When trying to send emails, after a time struggling, it tells me the following message: "Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail: Could not get password for correo.domainname.es. The message was not sent"
I've been told that this can be caused by the McAfee Firewall settings... but I'm not getting access to these settings!!!
How can this problem be solved?
Thanks!
Moved to Personal Firewall.
Open the McAfee interface and click Web and Email Protection
Click Firewall
Click Internet Connection for Programs - takes a while to load
(Hint: click the word Program at the top left to rearrange them alphabetically)
Scroll down to Thunderbird and make sure it has permissions and using the Edit button toggle NetGuard on and off to see if that makes a difference.
If not I suggest you open a case with Technical Support, it's free of charge by phone or online chat and linked below.

Hey Ex Brit, thank you for your help. However, I don't know why McAfee is not allowing me to reach the Firewall settings. After opening the McAfee interface and clicking Web and Email Protection... the Firewall settings are unaccessible.
I'll try to open the case in the Technical Support.
Cheers.
OK good luck. Not sure about the access except you would have to be logged in as a a user with Administrative authority.
Also if firewall settings greyed out can mean your subscription ended.
What version of McAfee is this and what OS? ie 12.9 or 12.8 or 12.6 or 14.0
Hi Ex Brit... my subscription ends on 08-08-2015... I've still got time!
I'm using Windows 8.
And McAffee is 14.0 for the Security Center; 18.0 for the Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware
Best you call support as Peter suggested they will figure it out.
