Silicon Image SATARaid5Manager blocked

I can't get the Silicon Image SATARAID5Manager to start. It keeps saying No controller cards found on your system although there are two installed and I can see the disks on those controllers. In their documentation they say the manager talks to the controllers on port 4242. I tried adding that port to the list in McAfee but no change. (perhaps I made a mistake in how it was added since the system ports weren't shown in the box under the one where I typed the description).

Are there other ports needed? Can I tell if something requests a port and it's blocked?

Are ports authorized in Vista Home Premium 32 bit in other areas beside the McAfee firewall (Windows Firewall is off).

Dell XPS420 factory installed Vista Home Premium.

Thanks

John
