Macfee firewall block the internet

Hi guys,

I got very wired problem. I have a lenovo thinkpad now when i install macfee total protection 2011 than internet was gone.

I started to troubleshoot the issue. My laptop was connected to internet but when i open any site than it only load and load showing nthing in browser. I try ping to specific website than it works so i mean everything works without page wont show up than i went to macfee turn off the firewall and i get perfect page in browser.

So i don't know why i need to disable firewall in order to open website?

I am using macfee product from last 3 years. I never get this type of problem.

Could anyone help me at this stage?

Thanks

Re: Macfee firewall block the internet

Hey there,

I think you could try the following, in the following order, on the Firewall Settings:

1-Adjust security level to Complete Access.

if no internet..

2-Restore PF Default Settings.

if no internet..

3-Add Program Permision, Full Access, to your web browers and other programs that need Internet Connection

if no internet..

4-Open Ports and System Services to allow access to commonly used ports, such as 80/Http, for navigating on Internet.

finally..

5-Try Disabling Net Guard.

And then please comment in here if anything worked out for you.

Good luck,

Alex N.
