Re: Incoming network connection blocked from own DNS server

I am having the same problem when using McAfee Total Protection on my home network configured with IPv4 and IPv6 DNS (both from my ISP).

Instructions suggest I can configure either the router or McAfee to fix this but the instructions do not match the version of McAfee that I have.

Re: Incoming network connection blocked from own DNS server

Is the macafee firewall stateful?  If not, this would explain this activity.  I have a FortiGate firewall blocking all inbound traffic, so it's not possible for 8.8.8.8 to enter in my network, unless it's simply trying to reply to a DNS query, which is what I suspect is happening.  This firewall would then be stateless instead.  Who can verify?
