I'm still not seeing a consistent pattern. Here is the info I am collecting. I can pull the McAfee version info from our database if you are registered on the forums with the same email with which you registered your McAfee products.
I won't have info for: Operating System, Internet Explorer version, Firefox version,Google Chrome version

Hi and good idea. I don't use Google Chrome or have it loaded.
On IE, Site Advisor working OK with Net Guard off and no issues. Turn Net Guard on and it wont even load the Homepage and becomes unusable.
On Firefox which is what I use, Site Advisor is installed and enabled but does not work. Turn on Net Guard and I have issues with downloads and pages loading, however some will load.
As I stated on my last post I had an issue the other day where to download a software package, I had to turn the firewall off entirely or the download just stopped. Turned the firewall off and it downloaded easily.

Our McAfee products email address is the same as our forum email address in case you need anything further.
We have to keep net guard off in order to surf and we have to turn off the firewall completely in order to play world of warcraft.

Good idea to gather the info in this way. The two machines that I know about on my network are as follows -
Issue? | Operating System | MSC | VirusScan | Firewall | SiteAdvisor | Internet Explorer | Firefox | Google Chrome | Language |
Yes | Win 7 Home Premium 64bit SP1 | 11.0.649 | 15.0.294 | 12.0.345 | 3.4.0.143 | 9.0.8112.16421 | n/a | 16.0.912.63 m | UK English |
No | Win XP Home Edition SP3 | 11.0.649 | 15.0.294 | 12.0.345 | 3.4.0.143 | 8.0.6001.18702 | 16.0.912.63 m | UK English | |
I rarely use Internet Explorer as I prefer Google Chrome. However the problem exists in both Internet Explorer and Chrome.
Hi Doug
Here are the current details of my machines...

Note: My daugther also has a machine running MSC but I it was only installed on christmas eve (just before I discovered this thread!) and the machine hasn't been used since. So, I don't know whether it is effected.

Pretty cheesed ff about the issue though. Caused much stress.
So much so that was compelled to register for yet another forum just to add my 2c.
Hope it gets resolved soon.
Thank you people.
Hey all, as everyone else, registered here for venting & hopefully help add my problems!
All seemed fine until around Nov, then limited access - I only use Chrome, on PC startup its fine, but as soon as I had closed Chrome down, I couldn't get back online, however restarting PC solved issue. I've literally only just seen these messages today after trying to search for answers again and bumped into these threads.
I unticked the NetGuard, but still have an issue (not checked for others but I'm sure there may be), never really had problems with youtube etc, but a couple of websites (radioplayers), one in particualr - kerrang, will not play unless McAfee firewall is off.
With 3 months left on my subscription I doubt I'll be purchasing any further McAfee services, this has been serioulsy frustrating, blaming other things like BT, software and even my router. That bleedin' desktop shortcut is jsut as bad..
Running on Windows 7 64bit,
Security centre v11.0, build 11.0.649, en0gb, last update 22/12/2011
virus scan v15, build 15.0.294, update 7/1/12
firewall v 12, build 12.0.345, update 9/11/2011
Siteadvisor v 3.4, build 3.4.0.143 update 7/10/2011
chrome v 16.0.912.75 (re-installed)
IE v 9.0.8112.16421
IE had this issue but it was intermittent.
Good luck to all of us!
Try the beta Siteadvisor remove the old 1 first.
