Re: Always requires me to verify subscription

Hi markg2001,

Did we use any other security program from att in the past ?

Can you provide the error message displayed under the Fix button so that I could provide you solution accordingly.

Thanks,

Re: Always requires me to verify subscription

Hi markg2001,

Do you get constant anonymous pop ups while browsing through the internet ?

Was your computer infected by a virus previously?

Re: Always requires me to verify subscription

Hi markg2001,

This issue could be due to various reasons , even due to malware infection in the computer.

Please try the below mentioned steps in this document:http://service.mcafee.com/faqdocument.aspx?id=TS100762&lang=en_US&prior_tid=2&AnswerID=16777217&turl...

Re: Always requires me to verify subscription

I spoke to McAfee technical support.  They told me this issue is often due to a corrupt install.  They sent me a file that totally deleted my old install and did a clean re-install.  The verify subscription problem has gone away.

Re: Always requires me to verify subscription

I am running Windows 7 and about 2 weeks a go my McAfee said I'm not completely protected. So I checked it out and it needed me to verify my subscription, its not due till end of 2010. I clicked it and it said my subscription has been verified but it still says "Your computer is not protected". I ran the virtual technician and it says I have no problem. Please help. Session ID: 24302840

Thanks

Re: Always requires me to verify subscription

Run this tool from http://us.mcafee.com/apps/agent/tools/ts/ts_getemail_new.asp and check whether the McAfee products are registered under your current email address or not.

  1. Did you have an older version of McAfee in your computer?
  2. How did you install McAfee? (web or cd)
  3. Was it an over installation on previous version?

Re: Always requires me to verify subscription

I ran the tool and it is registered to my current email. I had older version of McAfee but I uninstalled it before installing the new version. I installed it via the web.
