All ad notifications should have the ability to be "opted out" of- without exception
Hi @JG111,
We regret for the inconvenience. We would like to keep you informed that the feature is working as designed.
If you still want to change the notification settings kindly refer to the below McAfee article

FYI:
The "feature" that causes pop-up windows to try to sell me additional functionality that I will never pay for (PC Optimizer) is actually MALWARE because:
1. It frequently pops up ads that try to sell me something.
2. It cannot be disabled.
Sorry, but your attempt at telling you customers that this is a "feature that is working as designed" is total BS and does not erase that fact that it is actually MALWARE - and this is what I tell anyone who asks me about virus protection software.
Your brazen BS is a showstopper for me so I disabled my auto-renew and will be switching back to Norton when my subscription expires.
I have this same issue. Two hours in remote service to my PC all for them to say “these are promotional messages” and that my case will be escalated to a senior team.
A quick look at the 2003 Spam Act (Aust) says that this type of behaviour (no options to opt out of the notifications) are in breach of the Act. The Act requires that all commercial electronic messages include a way to unsubscribe, and that it must be a straightforward and user friendly way to unsubscribe. So not only are these pop up notifications unrequested and unwanted (breach of Act), McAfee isn’t providing a way to unsubscribe, which is also a breach.
For those of us in Australia, I suggest we all report it to the ACCC (www.accc.gov.au/consumers/advertising-and-promotions) as a product that doesn’t meet expectations, as well as to the Australian Communications and Media Authority for breaches of the SPAM Act (www.acma.gov.au/dealing-with-spam). Maybe then McAfee will get the message. I’m not on social media, but for those of you who are, it might be another platform to raise concerns (you probably already are?)
FYI @Abhishek_Das your solution doesn’t work. This was the first thing many of us tried, but turning off notifications in windows security doesn’t fix the problem.
