McAfee seems to think I want it on my laptop, I don't. How do I prevent it reinstalling?

I hate McAfee, I don't have any use for any of the scam "virus protection," provided by them or Norton. On my old PC I had this same problem with Norton installing itself after a windows update and spamming me to subscribe https://9apps.ooo/. How do I stop this from happening with McAfee?

Mcafee will not as far as I have seen install itself. You can get free trials etc when you buy new equipment though. 1 thing to watch out for is free McAfee Security scan which like the Norton version gets installed during Adobe installs and updates. You need to disable the install offer.

This program as far as I see is a marketing tool to check your pc for issues and offer a purchase. If McAfee comes with the laptop and you do not want it uninstall it.
