Re: False expiring subscription alerts

Could I simply reinstall over my existing one? Or simply wait for it to expire (which is this Sunday) and then reinstall? It just seems like a hassle that I have to uninstall, reboot, reinstall etc.

Also in the pic I posted above. Why is there 2 separate products? It says Total Protection and then it says McAfee Livesafe via Dell?

You could as, theoretically at least, it runs the cleanup on itself before reinstalling, however, I can't guarantee that will succeed.

No harm trying.

Sorry I failed to notice the rest of your questions.

The reason I suggest uninstall/cleanup and reinstall is because they are 2 different products.

I assume the Dell one is there because at some stage, maybe when you purchased a Dell computer, Dell had their version of McAfee software already installed on your machine.

Yeah. It was already installed when I bought my new computer 2 months ago. Anyway I just re downloaded it from the server and it automatically uninstalled the old one and installed the new one. Now it says my subscription ends in late April like it should..
