Password on my phone

How do I remove the password function on my phone?

I thought it was a grand idea at first, but now I have to type in the password every time my phone goes black in power-saving mode.

I cannot find it in my settings anywhere or on the website.

The only articles that I could find on the FAQs and Selfhelp sections were to retrieve the password - not to remove it.

Please help, otherwise my phone might end up in pieces on the floor.

Can you indicate, by name, which software you have installed please?

LiveSafe - with which you can protect all your devices.

Re: Password on my phone

The only thing I can think of is to set Safekey to remember your password as per SafeKey: Change your general settings on a mobile device

If it's not that I can alert a support rep to look in here.

Re: Password on my phone

I'v tried that - many times - and also went through the articles on the Self-help before I tried to contact support and they referred me to the community. I found it a bit strange that they wouldn't look into the matter, but only referred me here, where I had to create an account and all just to get sorted on this one thing. Isn't support anyway the last resort if you can't get sorted anywhere else? No offense to you are trying to help me out here.

I will alert our resident tech person to add to this thread.  Are you absolutely sure that it's McAfee software that's demanding passwords and not the phone itself via General Settings?   Anyway, I will ask him to add his thoughts here.

Yes, I am sure it is McAfee on which I set this password and not on the Samsung.
