Please follow the below procedure and post the outcome

  • Open McAfee Mobile Security application
  • Click on the 3 dots at the top right corner
  • Select the option “Scan Info”
  • Choose “Update virus Definition”
  • Post updating, do a “Deep scan” from the 3 dots at the top right corner

Note : If Virus definition failed to update, please do reinstall McAfee application to get the latest definition.

After following the steps you indicated, initially nothing happened and I got the same virus messages (all 8).  I then uninstalled and reinstalled McAfee and it appeared that took care of the issue but the next morning all 8 virus alerts once again appeared.   So it did not work.

Any additional guidance is appreciated.

Hi @My2Turns 

Please reply us with the name of the threat and the Artemis ID on each threat with the storage location of the threat. I will look in to our virus definition and check if it is whitelisted.

Please follow the below steps to find the threat name/location/Artemis ID

  • Open McAfee
  • Click on three dots at the top right corner
  • Select the option “Scan info”
  • Look for the threat information.

Hello,

Same with me too. Since yesterday I'm getting this alert on my mobile and the only option is Ignore threat.

About the file

Type: Non-removable file

Pathname:/preload/vendor/app/com.gamestore.apk

Created: 10 Jun 2016

Please help me resolve this threat.
