Issue with McAfee on Xiaomi, Honor and other phones (maybe)

Hi,

i am from Italy and I really want report an issue with McAfee Mobile Security & Lock

on Xiaomi Redmi Plus 5 but maybe also on other phone of other Thrends (Honor).

I recently moved fome a Galaxy S7 edge (Samsung) to Redmi Plus 5 (Xiaomi), on Samsung no issues on Xiaomi:

• McAfee Widget is not showed
• McAfee Widget is lost if all background app is closed wiuth a tap
• McAfee Widget is lost if the Phone went off or is restarted
• There are no fixed notification on top that alert you are always protected from McAfee as in Samsung.

I tested unistall, reinstall, give all permission to the app. Nothing solve.

At the restart seems app lock and scanner is work but not the widget and there are no fixed notificatrion on top that alert you are protected.

If I open McAfee the widget option in the settings are active. Turn off and on never solve the issue.

Remove permission and reassign it never solve the issue, clean app cache and force stop of the app not always solve the issue.

Only way to have widget back is going into devide settings, accessibility than remove and reassign authorization for McAfee. Widget will be missed on next device restart.

Please fix this issues asap. Hope you can fix , thanks.

PS: Also turn off battery saving for McAfee doesn't solve, also put autostarto to the app never solve.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. As you have already tried with re-assigning the permissions. Let me report this to our engineering team after collecting logs from your mobile phone. Please let me know the version of McAfee installed on your phone.

There may be a permission issue. Please check whether McAfee is enabled at the below locations, if not please enable and it should resolve the issue. 

Settings> Accessibility> McAfee> Enable

Settings> Security> Device administrator> McAfee> Enable

Unfortunatelly I have the same problems on my brand new Xiaomi Mi 9 Dual Sim and the tips above did not work me 😞 Any suggestions?

I have the same issue with my alcatel. Tried all suggestions and nothing helped. Widget one of my fav features come on McAfee!!

The widget seems to be working fine on my main phones, which are generally samsung devices, however the issue persists, when it comes to my backup phone -  Xiaomi Redmi, - the widget continuously crashes and need to be relaunched all the time. What a disappointment
