I'm from McAfee reasearch team, I will have this checked with my developing team to know more about this file whether it's a threat or a false positive. And will keep this post updated as soon as we have logs from your devicve. Please follow the below steps to provide us the logs.
1. Open McAfee Security on device
2. Tap the top bar 10 times with-in 20 seconds.
3. Scan to start logging activity (Toaster Message) "Logging enabled"
4. Run the scan/record the issue.
5. Tap the bar 10 times to Stop the logging
6. (Toaster message) Logging stopped
Please let us know if you have any corners.

I have followed your instructions:
1. I deleted the alerts message.
2. I have started the log "Logging enabled"
3. I started scanning.
4. I stopped logging "Logging disabled"
5. No warning or error message appeared
6. Now everything looks green and it seems that everything is Ok.

It's likely that virus defination have updated to the latest, which may have resolved the issue. Glad that issue is resolved.

I have the same problem on my Nokia 6.1 with July 2018 patch. I had to reset the entire phone to get rid of it. Same ID3OS.apk file reported for me too.

May I know the version of McAfee installed on your device? If it's 4.9 please update to 5.0 and let us know the outcome.
