i recently got a new mac, and installed mcafee, but the on access scan is not working... help please

Could you please let us know if there is any specific error message that you receive while initiating the scan ?? Also let us know you MAC specifications if its Apple Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) or higher !!

it has be recently upgraded to the lion. it jsut says the on access scan is not working

Can you update us on what product, product version you are using ? You can find this by clicking the McaFee Internet Security on the ribbon and navigating to "About McAfee Internet Security" from there.

Hi, I have the exact same problem. I am running Mac OS X Lion and McAfee Security 1.0.0 (676). Anti-malware Version 9.0.0 (4012).
Also, when I run an Alti-malware Update the process never stops and looks like in the attached screenshot.

If you are using Lion, then you should have McAfee Security for Mac 1.1 build 1309 installed.
Any previous versions are not supported on Lion.
